ESPN Zone at Downtown Disney

Do you live for sports? Do your dreams place you right in the middle of all the action? If so, you'll wonder if you are dreaming when you visit the ESPN Zone at Downtown Disney.

In the space between the Rainforest Cafe and the Disneyland Hotel, the Zone offers 35,000 square feet of sports entertainment. If you're missing your home team's game while on a personal or business trip to Anaheim, this is the place to be.

With 175 TVs, including their signature 16 foot big screen high definition set, chances are good that you'll be able to find one showing the game you want to see. Your chances will improve if, when you check in with the host or hostess you ask if the game is being aired. He or she will make an effort to get you seated where you'll be sure to get a great view.

And, watching the game just wouldn't be the same without a bite to eat. Served in both the the family dining room and the Sports Club areas, you're sure to find something you like on the menu.

While primarily focused on American grill food, there are plenty of choices - from pasta and pizza to burgers and sandwiches, from soups and salads to chicken and seafood the menu at the ESPN Zone offers something for everyone. If munchies are more your thing, you'll be able to choose from a large list of appetizers.

Of course, the ESPN Zone also has a full bar - how else would it have come to be known as Anaheim's best sports bar?

But don't take that to mean that the Zone isn't kid friendly. A favorite way of spending time is to explore the 10,000 square foot game room. Whether you want to challenge someone to a competitive game of air hockey or race around a virtual track, there's a game for everyone - kids and grown ups alike.

Not only can you check out your skills in virtual worlds of boxing, baseball, racing and golf (and more), but also you can test your real-life athleticism. Make sure to check out the climbing wall with its many paths to its 30 foot top.

The Sports Arena at the Zone is sure to thrill - it's quite possible to get so caught up in the adrenaline rush for hours because there are so many different games to play and experiences to have!

The best way to make sure that you'll be able to try as many as possible is to join the ESPN Zone's MVP Club. In addition to priority seating for the dining areas, a trial subscription to ESPN magazine and ESPN.com's Insider, you'll get a bonus 40 point MVP Club member game card to use in the Sports Arena.

But when the games are done and you're ready to move on to your next activity, you still have an important stop to make. The ESPN Zone has a large gift shop where you will be able to browse for ESPN logo clothing and souvenirs - it will be good for you to have something to take back for your buddies for when you tell them how great an experience you had while you were in the Zone!
