Located in Disneyland Park's downtown Disney district, House of Blues-Anaheim is one of the classiest bars to be found in Orange County, California. Inspired by the Mississippi Delta, the music and cuisine both live up to its inspirational roots.

The venue located in Anaheim, Orange County, is part saloon, part playhouse and part church. You can chill out with a cool sippin' bourbon, soak in some mellow Delta blues, or rejuvenate your soul with Sunday Gospel Brunch.

The House of Blues is a chain of performance venues and restaurants. It was founded by Isaac Tigrett, who also founded Hard Rock Caf, and screen star Dan Ackroyd in 1992. The chain is dedicated to providing blues music, folk art, and southern-inspired food. There are around a dozen or so House of Blues venues across America of which House of Blues-Anaheim is one. More are planned.

House of Blues-Anaheim is much the same as all the others in the chain. It has a rock 'n' rollish kind of grungy feel to it, though of course, despite its blues roots you can hear pretty much any kind of music you want here: punk, jazz, rock, country, pop and so much more.

House of Blues-Anaheim provides first-class entertainment coupled with Deep South sensibilities and southern cuisine--a jambalaya hotpot melodic mix that draws in an eclectic crowd, stylish, casual and hip, but in a friendly kind of way too. The prices may not be the lowest you'll encounter, but you will get pure value for every penny spent--and then some.

You will find a good dance floor at the House of Blues-Anaheim, should you feel the need to sway with the rhythm. There seems to be bars everywhere--certainly enough to keep any thirsty soul occupied. And if it's food you're after, the restaurant can serve you anything from gumbo to crawfish etouffe, jambalaya to banana bread pudding, or Key lime pie to grilled flatiron steak salad.

Upstairs in the building there's an outdoor lounge. Downstairs you will find an outdoor patio. And throughout the entire complex there's an amazing sound system that can draw out the best quality acoustics from every music genre known to man.

If you seek an uplifting, exhilarating and energetic style of music, coupled with a breakfast come lunch kind of meal, then the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues-Anaheim every Sunday morning is for you. Seating times are from 10am to 1pm. To make a reservation, call 714.778.BLUE. Or if your group is more than 10 people, call 714.520.2379. They'll take care of your mind, your belly and you soul too.

Listen to some of the finest Gospel acts around while you enjoy mouth-watering dishes like, cheese-filled tortellini salad with smoked salmon, home-made biscuits and country gravy, carved smoked turkey breast with prime rib of beef, and rounded off with white chocolate walnut brownies. Of course, you're not stuck with only that menu. There's more, so much more, to choose from at the House of Blues-Anaheim at the weekly Gospel Brunch.
