Is it an outlet mall? Well, yes and no. While shopper's can find great buys at manufacturers' and retail outlets for every member of the family, regardless of gender, age or personal style, The Block isn't just an outlet mall. Inside, you'll take a virtual vacation to San Francisco complete with scaled down replicas of the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown's Pagoda.
And the dècor isn't the only thing that gives you a sampling of San Francisco. The food samples from the best of famous regions of the city like Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and the Mission District. Handcrafted beers and cask ales are also available, along with a number of signature desserts.
Desserts. Well, does that mean that the Block at Orange is a great place to indulge your sweet tooth? Absolutely. Not only can you find a variety of fantastic desserts at any of the Block's restaurants, but you can also visit the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Not only does the chocolatier have a huge variety of chocolates and other confections - over 300! -- but they also prepare 20 flavors of fudge and have 30 varieties of caramel and candy apples.
All of those offerings add up to make The Block at Orange far more than just the sum of its parts. While many destinations promise that they have something for everyone, the Block really delivers! And it's not just shopping, entertainment and dining either.
The Block at Orange, just a short distance southeast of the Disneyland theme parks in Anaheim, makes a great place to hold a birthday party because there are so many options for the kids. Everyone is sure to have a good time at the Block which has become something of a tourist attraction itself.
