Day Two - Trip to Disneyland
Published On: Dec 18, 2006Chances are today, you may be a tad lethargic from all that strolling around yesterday. That's why day two is all about Disney's California Adventure. There are typically less crowds and much less walking around.
Disney's California Adventure is spliced into a variety of different themes. Paradise Pier has some of the park's best rides, along with a humungous Ferris wheel that offers some spectacular panoramic views of Disneyland. For movie buffs, there's Hollywood Pictures Backlot featuring one of Disney's most popular 3D movie ever - It's Tough to be a Bug. For a fascinating glimpse of Northern California's varietal landscapes, the Golden State has thrilling rides such as Soarin' Over California.
Adventurous Rides
Other great rides include: Grizzly River Run, a perilous journey down raging rapids; Mulholland Madness, a ridiculously speedy rollercoaster; The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, an elevator gone awry; and California Screamin', a rollercoaster with a mystifying loop-de-loop.
Leisurely Activities
For something a bit more relaxed, check out Muppet Vision 3D or Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular based on the popular movie. Also incredible is the block Party Bash. In this joyous parade you'll get to see all your favorite characters from movies such as Monsters Inc. or Toy Story just dancin' in the streets.
Tasty Vittles
There are plenty of spots along the way to grab something quick. On the other hand, if you're looking for a fancy place, then wine Country Trattoria is just the spot. They've got some incredible Italian dishes, along with a great selection of Napa Valley wines. Keep in mind you'll probably need a reservation. Downtown Disney is full of great choices too, if you're ready to leave California Adventure. Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen offers some delectable Creole & Cajun inspired dishes, along with some great tunes.
